In honor of Sea Otter Awareness Week, we teamed up with Sea Otter Savvy’s We Were Here programming to bring you this special edition of Marine Mammal Monday!
Otters are amazing keystone species that help to keep our ocean healthy. Watch this recorded program to celebrate how far this marine mammal has come, from being hunted extensively for their luxurious fur, to the work The Marine Mammal Center and the Monterey Bay Aquarium do to bring sea otters back from the brink of extinction.
Join us as we explore the intricacies of otter rehabilitation and ask our colleagues at Monterey Bay Aquarium all about their specialized surrogacy program. Adorable otters guaranteed!
